Community Guidelines

Sego works because people show up as themselves and treat each other with care. These guidelines describe what that looks like. Breaking them can mean a warning, a suspension, or a permanent ban.

Be yourself

  • Use your real first name and recent photos of you. Your main photo should be just you, face visible.
  • One account per person. If you were removed, you may not create another.
  • Be single. Sego is for people who are never married, divorced, or widowed.
  • Answer honestly. Our questions exist so you meet people who fit; they only work when answers are true.

Be kind

  • No harassment, threats, insults, or hate of any kind, including about faith, activity level, marital history, children, appearance, or politics.
  • Take no for an answer. If someone unmatches or stops replying, let it be.
  • Disagreement is fine. Contempt is not.

Keep it appropriate

  • No nudity, sexual content, or sexual solicitation, in photos or messages. Swimwear and underwear photos are not allowed as profile photos.
  • No graphic violence, drugs, or illegal activity.
  • Faith is part of this community; treat it with respect. Don’t mock anyone’s beliefs or practice, and don’t present yourself as speaking for the Church.

Keep it real, not commercial

  • No requests for money, gifts, loans, investments, or payment-app details. Ever. This is the single fastest way to be banned.
  • No promotion, selling, fundraising, recruiting, or links to businesses or social accounts in your profile or early messages.
  • No scraping, automation, or attempts to work around our systems.

Protect privacy

  • Don’t share anyone else’s photos, messages, or personal details, on or off Sego.
  • Don’t include your own phone number, address, workplace, or social handles in your profile; share them later, when you choose.

Gatherings

  • Hosts describe events accurately and hold them as posted. Cancel in the app if plans change so people who RSVP’d are told.
  • Gatherings are for community, not sales. No commercial solicitation, multi-level marketing, or fundraising.
  • Guests: RSVP honestly, show up when you say you will, and treat hosts and venues with respect.

Report what you see

Every profile, message, photo, and gathering has a Report option. Reports are private and reviewed by a person. False reports are themselves a violation. If you are ever in danger, contact local emergency services first.
